City of New York, Human Resources Administration upgrades to iBEM 2010 World Edition
The New York City, Human Resources Administration maintains offices throughout the five boroughs, each of which use office supplies, as well as custom printed forms and checks. All these offices are supplied from one central warehouse.
This Department has been using software from BarControl since the year 2000; using greater amounts of the software's capabilities to meet the Department's demands for increased efficiencies and cost savings. The various offices place orders for the materials they need; the orders are then picked, packed, staged, routed, and deliveries confirmed using BarControl's iBEM 2010. With most of the forms being custom printed, requiring varying amounts of time to receive replacement inventory, the dynamic MRP features in BarControl's iBEM always maintains the proper amounts of inventory in the warehouse.

With the Human Resources Administration's recent move to a new larger and more modern facility, it was only fitting to upgrade to the newest version of iBEM, iBEM 2010 World Edition, to meet the Departments growing needs. The upgrade was practically seamless as the look and feel of earlier iBEM versions has been maintained, but many site specific configuration refinements were added for this particular installation. Along with these enhancements, this Department also now enjoys the many new refinements of the new iBEM 2010 World Edition.
